Marble Swaminarayam Statue

INTRODUCTION

This is a very popular idol of Swaminarayan. The statue of Ghanshyam Maharaj is also known as Swaminarayan marble statue. This idol of Swaminarayan is made in a sitting blessing posture. This Swaminarayan marble statue is made of pure white marble. Very detailed work has been done in this idol and it has been prepared by very experienced artisans of Rajasthan in about 1 month.

MARBLE

To make this idol of Swaminarayan, we have used high quality marble. This marble has been imported from Vietnam. Its color is milky white and it has very fine grains. There is no better marble then this for making the Swaminarayan marble statue. If available, it is Makrana marble but it can get stains. If the marble has fine grain then the artisan can work in great detailing. Vietnamese marble has a very high shine and it remains intact for years. Vietnam marble is very hard, hence it does not break while working.

POLISH

To polish the Swaminarayan marble statue, we have to work very carefully. Because guidelines have been given in this by Swaminarayan sect. To polish, we first rub the idol with small stone pieces. This removes big scratches. Now we use sandpaper to remove small scratches from Swaminarayan marble statue. After this we get a smooth surface without scratches. After this the work begins to bring shine to the idol. For this, we rub it with diamond powder for several days and then after rubbing for a few days, we get a very shiny Swaminarayan marble statue.

PAINTING

Painting plays a very important role in the marble statue of Lord Swaminarayan. We use oil paint for painting the Ghanshyam maharaj marble statue. Because oil paints hold better with marble and last longer. These paints are from well-known companies like Winsor and Newton etc. For the marble Swaminarayan marble statue/Ghansyam maharaj marble statue, we have to use only some selected colors. Pure gold foil is used for jewelery. We also do emboss work in painting. In emboss painting, the idol is first embossed with paste and then a layer of pure gold is applied on it. Looks very beautiful, this painting has been done in this idol of Swaminarayan/Ghanshyam maharaj.

PACKAGING AND FORWARDING

Packing and forwarding is a very important task because we have to do it carefully to deliver the idol without any breakage. We pack the statue with liquid foam in an iron box. In this we pack the statue with liquid foam. When liquid foam comes in contact with air, the solid foam may changes and forms the groove of the sculpture. With this, the idol can be sent within India and abroad without any damage. We work only with big courier companies for transportation of the idol. With this, we can send the idol to the customer on time and without any damage.

How to install the Swaminarayan marble statue?

There are some important things which we should keep in mind while installing Murti. Some steps have been given by Salvik India for the installation of the idol which you should follow.

Steps:-

Choose the right place:-

To install the idol, first choose a place which is free from direct sunlight and humidity. Do not keep anything around the idol which may break the idol. Choose clean places for installing the idol.

Prepare a base or platform to place the idol:-

The idol cannot be installed on the ground then prepare a pedestal, base and platform to install it. This platform can be made of cement, wood or anything else.

Positioning the Statue:-

To place the idol on the platform, first carefully lift the idol using a lifting tool. And then easily remove and set the idol in the right angle with some bonding solution.
